About Helen Keller
Helen Keller (1880-1968) was an American author, political activist, and lecturer who overcame the challenges of being both deaf and blind. Stricken by illness at a young age, she learned to communicate with the help of her teacher, Anne Sullivan, and went on to graduate from Radcliffe College, becoming the first deaf-blind person to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree. Keller dedicated her life to advocating for people with disabilities, women's suffrage, and social justice, becoming a symbol of courage and determination.
